When should I avoid using this fire extinguisher?
The 9-Litre Water Fire Extinguisher should not be used in the following fires:
- Class B Fires – Fires involving combustible liquids like petrol, oil paint and solvents
- Class C Fires – Fires involving combustible gases like LPG, Natural gas and acetylene
- Class D Fires – Fires involving combustible metals like aluminium shaving or magnesium
- Class E Fires – Fires where the ignition source contains electrical equipment such as motors, switchboards and electrical appliances
- Class F Fires – Fires involving cooking oils and fats

What else do I need?
The 9-Litre Water Fire Extinguisher requires identification signage.
The Australian standard (AS2444) for 9.0L Water Fire Extinguishers requires that identification signage is installed above the Fire Extinguisher. The 9-Litre Water identification sign provides information about the kinds of fires it is effective against.
A location sign mounted at 1800mm is also required to assist finding the fire extinguisher from a distance. Thus signage can be purchased here.
Warranty
Rest assured: this fire extinguisher comes with a five year warranty. Like all our extinguishers, it comes tested and certified for compliance. Test certificates can be obtained through our office.
